Erythromycin
Indications/Uses
Superficial ocular infections involving the cornea &/or the conjunctiva by susceptible organisms. Prophylaxis of ophthalmia neonatorum due to Neisseria gonorrhea or Chlamydia trachomatis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
External ocular infection Apply ≥1 time daily, depending on severity of infection. Prophylaxis of Neonatal gonococcal or Chlamydial conjunctivitis Apply 1 cm ribbon of oint into each conjunctival sac.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Superinfection.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions.
